I personally discovered the frill back in 2022, scattered across hundreds of pieces, many of which were beyond recovery for reconstructing a complete frill. Initially, we thought it was a full skull, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. However, the pieces themselves are pristine, with a stunning dark orange/red color. The bigger the piece, the better you can see the grooves where the blood vessel would have been. This stunning piece is a fragment of a Triceratops frill, just like the iconic ones seen in Jurassic World. The frill, which served as the dinosaur’s head shield, belonged to a Triceratops that roamed the Earth 66 million years ago. Fossilized in the Lance Formation of Wyoming, this incredible Fossil has withstood the test of time, remaining preserved for millions of years until its remarkable discovery, making it a true piece of prehistoric history.
