Hi, I’m Ewald, the founder of PaleoDutch! I’ve been passionate about fossils and paleontology since my childhood, and that love has only grown stronger over the years. Talking about fossils has always been a joy for me, but turning that passion into a career always felt like an impossible dream. and it still feels like it, but I am going to try anyway!
Thankfully, with modern technology, I can share my passion with the world, connect with like-minded people, and build a community of fossil enthusiasts.
While parting with any fossil is never easy (each one feels like my own child) I do offer some of my fossils for sale (most self-found) to help sustain my work.

Preperation
Fossil preparation is the process of cleaning, stabilizing, and preserving fossils for study, display, or collection. With over six years of experience and hundreds of successfully prepared fossils, I have practiced my skills to achieve exceptional precision and detail. The meticulous process of removing rock is both calming and demanding, requiring patience and a steady hand. As each layer is carefully removes, sometimes even uncovering new and fascinating details along the way.

Preperation services
If you’re considering having one of your fossils cleaned, you’ve come to the right place!
To get started, contact me via email at Paleodutch@gmail.com with the subject: Preparation Order. Please attach at least five photos of your fossil from different angles. Based on the images, I will assess the condition and estimate the cost of preparation.
The final cost will depend on the time required, the fossil’s condition, adding or excluding a stand, and shipping. Once you approve the estimate, we can proceed with the preparation.
