Trike spitter tooth

Availability: In stock

Category:

A 66-million-year-old Triceratops tooth from the Lance Formation. Triceratops had a full battery of teeth in its beak, perfectly designed for grinding tough vegetation. As their teeth wore down from constant use, they would fall out and be replaced by new ones growing beneath them. The teeth that fell out are called a spitter tooth. Throughout its lifetime, a Triceratops could have cycled through hundreds of teeth, ensuring it always had a fresh set for its next meal.

The Triceratops teeth are for display purposes only and represent their appearance, not the exact item you will receive. A display case is included.
